The sixth annual FEW Leadership Conference features a line-up of ‘unstoppable’ speakers who will inspire and motivate delegates.

The theme of this year’s highly anticipated Financial Executive Women’s (FEW) Leadership Conference is ‘Unstoppable’, and is dedicated to the leaders and future leaders of the financial services industry who continue to “break barriers in challenging times”, according to FEW Head of Marketing and Operation, Anna Siassios.

“We are ‘unstoppable’ in our achievements, ‘unstoppable’ in making a positive impact in our industry and ‘unstoppable’ in leading by example,” Siassios said. “As an industry, we’ve just been through a very challenging eighteen months with the Royal Commission. So, it’s appropriate that the theme of the 2019 conference is ‘Unstoppable’, which reflects the dedication of so many women and men to the future of our industry.”

Now in its sixth year, the annual FEW Leadership Conference will take place in Sydney at 50 Martin Place on Thursday 28 March.

The conference will be opened by Shemara Wikramanayake – Managing Director and CEO of Macquarie Group.

This year’s line-up of speakers include Dr Catriona Wallace, the CEO and Founder of Flamingo Ai.

Dr Wallace will share her personal journey of turning a software start-up into an ASX-listed company in just two years. As one of the world’s most cited experts on the future of customer experience, Artificial Intelligence and Bot strategy, Dr Wallace will talk about what it took to get to where she is today, including overcoming the challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated industry.

Respected author and coach, Michelle Sales will also line-up as a speaker. Sales will deliver a presentation on ‘The power of real confidence’, which will include:

What confidence really is and how it can take us to another level in terms of our performance and influence;

How to develop real confidence; and

How to identify and harness those aspects of yourself that are uniquely you and use that to build a brand that supports your career.

Also lining up this year is James Castrission, the Founder and Program Director at MyAdventure Group. Castrission will share his six step model for achieving any ‘Big Hairy Audacious Goal’. According to Castrission, it’s a model that will help delegates and their team build clarity and alignment to achieving the impossible.

“The FEW Leadership Conference is recognised as Australia’s premier event for successful senior women (and men) in financial services,” Siassios said. “In a post-Royal Commission environment that will require transformation and innovation, this conference will go to the heart of what it means to be a professional in this industry in the years ahead.”

Siassios said the conference has not only been designed to be inspiring but also is a great opportunity for delegates to learn practical tips and insights from experts in leadership and personal development.

“The conference is not only a day of leadership and personal growth, but it’s also a wonderful chance to connect and network with others who are equally as passionate about financial services and empowering women,” Siassios said. “And now that we are moving on from the Royal Commission, it’s more important than ever that women remain connected and at the forefront of leading change for the better.”
